Yes its like once per year anymore... TNG is likely to appear at the 2010 Tilton Redneck Games. Not sure of the exact date (July 1st/August 1st?) or other details. Will update you as we gather more details. Email us at tonguengruve@tonguengruve.com to tell us if you want us to play Saturday July 31st or Sunday July 1st???

! I wanted to share some news about a CD. We are in the process of releasing our 1st major CD. We should have a large amount of copies and it will be full length. I am not wanting to say where and when just yet, as that is to be decided soon. Alot of new stuff, some thats still being formated, thats how new! Alot of it has not been heard with the exception of late at some shows...hint~
Saturday at the Uptown was as we had hoped! A kick ass welcome home party. Thanks to everyone that showed like Cowboy n his lady, some local band heroes and all the newcomers. A great night of supporters and encouragement!
The Phoenix Bar a couple of weeks ago was awesome with close friends of the band like Chris n Marlene, Courtney n her hubby(lol), Noey n Carla and a slew of others showing up to rock with us. Send me an email if I forgot ya :)~

2008 consisted of shows in Hollywood California in such venues as the Sunset Strip Music Festival, Hollywood Rock Convention '08 and opening for such bands as Ratts Steven Pearcy and Dizzy Reeds Starfuckers. The outlook for 2009 is looking to have a string of local Danville/Champaign shows and end the summer in cities TBA at a later time. The other outlook is for TNG to have their 1st public CD release. This will be the 1st official full CD release from the band. The only other release to date was a single of "Left Alone" and through for a "B" Side or bonus song on the single. That release was limited to less than 50 copies, yes less than 50!!! and only at one show! Keep an eye out as TNG will be adding alot of new lighting and other angles to the show itself and of course more new music. The main focus is TNG originals, but there are also a nice new addition to the cover music for those who enjoy the main stream rock!

TNG is just back from Hollywood and has been asked to play a concert series in Mattoon Illinois. This will be on Saturday August 9th from 8-10pm. This will be an all ages show! Bring out the young ones. Nows the chance, no hassle with babysitters. Waiting for details as to if there will be an admission charge?

TNG is planning our visit to the West Coast, yes Hollywood California. Maybe like a teenage garage band that has dreams that swallow them. I can say one thing, its a pretty damn good feeling! Alot of planning, saving, effort and sweat goin into this. We're all not the types of kids that asked and received from our momy's hand.
Now to what you really wanna know... we will be having updates on the TNG Myspace and we may even have some stuff here on the News part of the Website. We will have blogs from Hollywood, pix, maybe video and some other surprises, who knows?!! Keep up to date on this news section and the Tongue N Gruve Myspace...

Ok, so I don't update news enough....Well, its not because there's nothing going on, its because there is so much going on. We are now a Zoomoozik Artist. I would like to thank Matt for his confidence in TNG. He has really taught us all alot just in a few weeks.
Everything is about to go full force so if your a TNG fan and just love to party with us, you are about to be rewarded almost as much as you deserve it! I have been approached by several people at shows that just love the tunes. This is the gretest thing in the world! TNG fans are the most awsome because they really like music and its not just a popularity contest, as we have seen in the past ten years. My salute to everyne that comes out to have a great time and loves to party to music!Thanks to all! I need to get some names down, but you all know who I am talkin about! To the Amanda's to long time believer Chris to the sound and light guys behind the scenes. Yes to the couple of guys from the last show that approached...Thanks and its not even close to being over!!!
Another thing worth noting is some great people I am being able to work with from the area radio stations to Zoomoozik Reps. Keep your eyes on the website and Myspace for everything that is about to unfold!!!

We are currently working on recording a CD or so. TNG has been offered a possible signing with a label and is looking into this opportunity. We will be playing out more after the recording is finished, but there is no timeline and probably will not be a deadline for this. Its not a manufactured thing to record or write music. As you will soon find out from the CD, we are not promissing to be the loudest or fastest guitar players in the world. Thank god you can understand the lyrics :)~

I know its been awhile since I updated the gossip, but here's the latest...TNG is planning on working on recording an album thats been written for awhile. The Canopy show went great!!and being an all original set that says something about the orinal music. We think that our music has not been taken serious enough by us. We always have offers from people in the crouds to buy our CD so we will soon be able to satisfy their request. Another big thing going on is the benefit show that will be held at the Longbranch Tavern on Sept 29th from noon to 10pm. I need bands to confirm by Tuesday Sept 11th.

Tongue N' Gruve will be playing Radmakers IN Tolono, IL. on July 27th with no cover charge! Yes a rock show at everyone's favorite place to hang out and rock "Radmakers" for no cost. That means it will cost you $0.00 to check out TN'G! Radmakers is only 10 minutes south of Champaign,IL.
Don't forget to check us out at Macs Tackle Box in Decatur on July 21st. We rocked the Decatur area once before and now we're back to give you another headache!

Hello people! If ya' haven't checked us out live, then come out, even if to criticize :)- I think you'll have a great time! We are playin' with some great bands of late, and its been a classic month. If you missed, then you missed, but you don't have to miss the next show or any of the Rock N' Gruve! Everything is goin' great, wouldn't mind a few more dates, but some things come slowly. There are alot of great things in the works so keep checkin' the "shows" page to make sure your up to date!

Confirmed that the band will be opening for some great shows! Tongue N Gruve will be opening for The Bullet Boys on May 17th in Mattoon Illinois at Toasters Pub. The show starts with an umknown opening band from 8-9pm, then Tongue N Gruve hits the stage at 9-10pm, then Alienz Lie from 10-11pm then comes the finally with The Bullet Boys from 11pm-1am! Where will you say you were that Thursday Night? Unsure of a cover charge. Whos Tongue and What Gruve?

What a show on the 14th. I wanted to thank everyone who came out and say I had a blast! I wasn't feeling very well but the stage brings something new out everytime. I haven't received much feedback here on the site yet so let me know what you think about the new site. Hope to see you at the next show on 5/12/07. I should feel alot better then and will be much more in the pary spirit.

Kind of a funny story here, I believe Ace met these guys at a show they were doing when their headlining act didn't show up. They had just started at that time and had only 45 minutes of material and had 4 hours to cover. Yes, you have it right they were "stood up" by another band! Makes me wonder if they had ESP and named their band after that incodent???
